How to play HD movie on Lubuntu 15.04

Despite the terms 'light weight', you can actually playback HD movie on lubuntu, of course it's also depends on the hardware that you are using. 

Lubuntu 15.04 comes with pre-installed movie player called Gnome MPlayer, basically you can watch any HD movie with that player.

But i feel like Gnome MPlayer is not good enough for me, i still prefer vlc player for watching movie on lubuntu.

The problem with Gnome MPlayer is that it doesn't show subtitle correctly not like vlc player, so i immediately install vlc player on my lubuntu 15.04.

Vlc movie player is basically faster and better than MPlayer, you can also activate GPU rendering with vlc player.

To install vlc player on lubuntu 15.04, simply run this command from the command line/console:

sudo apt-get install vlc

You will see pretty much like this:
