How to download torrent on Lubuntu

One time, my friend asked me, is it possible to download torrent on lubuntu? of course it's possible, in fact lubuntu already comes with a torrent client, so you can use it directly without installing anything.

On lubuntu 14.04 trusty (or other version), you will get a torrent client called transmission. You can find this program from the start menu > Internet > Transmission.

So how to use this program? it's very easy, all you have to do is get the *.torrent file from the internet and then open the *.torrent file using transmission, or just simply double click on that *.torrent file.

To get the torrent file, you can googled with any keyword followed by "torrent download", you will get tons of result, usually they came from website like kickasstorrent, thepiratebay, etc.

If you don't like using transmission, you can install other torrent client for linux such as ktorrent, vuze bit torrent client, qBittorrent, deluge, utorrent, rtorrent and many more. But for me, i think transmission is good enough.
